PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a dedicated pressure source, make the whole machine tool compact-sized, simplify the control, and make the machine tool inexpensive. SOLUTION: A coolant filling part 30a of a clamp operating tool 27 mounted on a main shaft 7 is inserted in a clamp side coupler 18, and a third check valve operating part 30d is inserted in an unclamp side coupler 19, thereby opening both of check valves 20, 21. The coolant is injected into the clamp side coupler 18 through a coolant injection passage 31, and further supplied to a clamp pressure chamber 13 through the check valve 20 and the clamp pressure fluid passage 22. The coolant already supplied to the unclamp pressure chamber 14 is discharged to the outside through an unclamp pressure fluid passage 23 and the check valve 21.
