PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition used for precision moldings, such as optical equipment mechanism elements, printer parts, copier parts and parts inside automobile engine rooms, which composition (1) generates notably little burrs upon being molded and gives the moldings (2) highly dimensionally precise against temperature changes (-30 to 100 °C) and (3) excellent in flame retardancy. SOLUTION: The flame retardant resin composition for precision moldings contains a resin composition (mentioned below) and 40-300 pts. wt. of graphite (d), based on 100 pts. wt. of the resin composition, which contains at least 10 wt% of particles having particle diameters of 25-1,000 μm. The above resin composition is composed of (a) 1-99 pts. wt. of a polyphenylene sulfide resin, (b) 99-1 pts. wt. of a polyphenylene ether resin, and (c) as an admixture, based on 100 pts. wt. of a total of the (a) and (b) components, 1-20 pts. wt. of a copolymer formed by copolymerizing an unsaturated monomer having an epoxy group and/or an oxazonyl group in a proportion of 0.3-20 wt% with monomers mainly composed of styrene.
