PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning device of high versatility capable of rapidly changing a positioning member of different position and shape according to the kind of a work while suppressing the amount of equipment investment by simplifying the structure. SOLUTION: The positioning device 1 to position a work W with a positioning hole h formed therein comprises a rotating body 12, a turning means 10 to turn the rotating body 12, a plurality of holders 14 disposed on the rotating body 12, a positioning member 16 fitted to the holders 14 in an elevating/lowering and non-rotatable manner, and a driving means 20 to elevate/lower the positioning member 16. After an arbitrary holder 14 out of the plurality of holders 14 is allowed to reach a predetermined position by the turning means 20, the positioning member 16 fitted to the arbitrary holder 14 is elevated by a predetermined distance by the driving means 20 so that the positioning hole h is fitted to the positioning member 16.
