PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit images without the reduction of an image resolution regardless of the reduction of a data communication speed. SOLUTION: An image reproducing device 200 monitors the communication state of a radio communication part 21 by a communication line monitor 22 and obtains a speed of communication from an image transmission device 100 to the image reproducing device 200 and transmits the speed to the image transmission device 100 through the radio communication part 21. The image transmission device 100 determines the transmission of color images, transmission of color-reduced color images, or transmission of black-and-white images by a control part 14 in accordance with the communication speed reported from the image reproducing device 200 and converts analog video signals from a camera 11 to video data by an image processing part 12 in accordance with the determination result and transmits the video data to the image reproducing device 200 by a radio communication part 13.
