PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection terminal for insulation displacement which can make a connector compact by forming a width of a wire insulation displacement part narrow, capable of preventing an inssulation displacement piece from deformation like buckling or fall down when press fitting an electric wire, and to provide an insulation displacement connector using the connection terminal. SOLUTION: The connection terminal for insulation displacement has a wide-width part 15a at one of the base plate parts 15, and a narrow-width part 15b at the other. An electric contact part 17 is integrally formed at the wide-width part 15a by bending, and a wire insulation displacement part 22 is integrally formed at the narrow-width part 15b. The wire insulation displacement part 22 is composed of a fold-back part 23 protrusively arranged at a side face 15c of the base plate part 15, bent in a U-turn shape; a jointing part 24 with a narrow width superposed on the base plate part 15 following the fold-back part 23; insulation displacement pieces 25 with a wide width extending from a front end part and a rear end part of the jointing part 24, bent so as to vertically stand on the base plate part 15; and a leg part 26 protrusively formed at a lower part of the insulation displacement pieces 25, supporting the insulation displacement pieces 25 at press fitting of the electric wire.
