PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can enhance the mechanical strength of a core bar without using a special reinforcing member without sacrificing the startup time of the device and an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device is equipped with a fixing roller 12 and a pressure roller 13.
