PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining exhaust pipes capable of securing the good durability of a joining part of different kinds of metal members by caulking. SOLUTION: The method for joining the exhaust pipes overlapping and joining end parts of an upstream pipe 32a and a lower stream pipe 32b includes a pasting process putting foam material between the end parts of the upstream pipe 32a and the lower stream pipe 32b, a caulking process caulking a part having the foam material 20 put between the upstream pipe 32a and the lower stream pipe 32b, and a foaming process foaming the foam material 20.
