GELLANT AND ITS PREPARATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel gelling agent that has a molecular structure formed by introducing a carbazole moiety into an isoleucine derivative, and its preparation method. SOLUTION: The gelling agent is characterized by consisting of the isoleucine derivative having a carbazolyl group. The preparation method of the gelling agent comprises reacting an isoleucine derivative having a specific skeleton with a compound having the carbazolyl group in the presence of dichloromethane and a hydrochloride of 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide to obtain the isoleucine derivative having the carbazolyl group.
