A method for producing an optically active compound represented by the formula (I) below or a salt thereof is characterized in that a mixture of two kinds of optically active compounds represented by the formula (I) below or salts thereof is reacted with an optically active compound represented by the formula (II) below. (I) (In the formula (I), R<1> and R<2> may be the same or different and represent a lower alkyl group which may be substituted; R<3> represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group which may be substituted, an acyl group, a carboxyl group which may be esterified or amidated, a sulfonyl group which may be esterified or amidated, or a silyl group which may be substituted; and R<4> and R<5> may be the same or different and represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group which may be substituted.)
