摘要 PURPOSE: A system and a method for compensating a center wavelength of an arrayed waveguide grating by using stress application are provided to enlarge wavelength range to be compensated at lower cost by varying the center wavelength of an output light using mechanical stress applied on the waveguide. CONSTITUTION: First and second jigs(51,52) are implemented to be apart from each other. An arrayed waveguide grating chip is inserted to the space between the first and second jigs. A stress application member(60) includes a female bolt and a male bolt. The female bolt is formed inside a penetrating hole in the second jig. The male bolt is coupled with the female bolt. The stress application member applies a mechanical stress to the arrayed waveguide grating chip.
