BAND UNIT FOR MESSENGER WIRES IN CONCRETE POLES TO BE BROKEN WHEN TOO MUCH IMPACT IS APPLIED ON THE MESSENGER WIRE

PURPOSE: A band unit for messenger wires in concrete poles is provided to prevent breakage of the concrete pole and a power down accident by breaking the band unit when too much impact or weight is applied on the messenger wire. CONSTITUTION: A band unit for messenger wires in concrete poles includes a pair of bands and a support bolt(30). The bands enclose the concrete pole and the support bolt supports a messenger wire which is connected to the bands. A radius(r) of the support bolt at a connecting portion(32), where the messenger wire is coupled, is smaller than the radius(R) of a bolt body. The bands are to be removed from the concrete pole by an impact or weight applied from the messenger wire. The support bolt penetrates one of the bands and is connected to a clamp to support the messenger wire.
