4-FUNCTIONAL HYBRID EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITION FOR PRODUCING HYBRID EPOXY RESIN WITH SUPERIOR MECHANICAL PROPERTY

PURPOSE: Provided is an epoxy resin composition comprising 4-functional epoxy resin (TGDDM) and epoxidated seed oil (ESO) to produce hybrid epoxy resin with mechanical property higher than conventional TGDDM epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION: The epoxy resin composition comprises 80-99wt.% of TGDDM and 1-20wt.% of ESO represented by formula(1). ESO is prepared oxidizing seed oil in solvent in the presence of Amberlite. The reaction carries out at 45-60 deg.C for 6 to 9 hours. The hybrid epoxy resin is used as matrix resin for production of amine curing agent.
