摘要 PURPOSE: A method of making a functional health beverage by mixing Flos Carthami meal extract, sugar, oligosaccharide, glucose, gum Arabic, citric acid, sodium citrate, vitamin C and pigments and sterilizing is provided. It reutilizes Flos Carthami meal which has hitherto been discarded and produces a functional health beverage having the function of preventing bone disease and preventing environmental pollution while having antioxidant effect. CONSTITUTION: The health beverage is prepared by the steps of: heating 0.02% by weight of Flos Carthami powder, 2.0 to 6.0% by weight of sugar, 5.0 to 6.0% by weight of oligosaccharide, 5.0 to 8,0% by weight of glucose, 0.01% by weight of gum Arabic, 0.02 to 0.04% by weight of citric acid, 0.02% by weight of sodium citrate, 0.02 to 0.04% by weight of vitamin C, 0.02% by weight of Flos Carthami yellow pigment and water at 98deg.C for 30min; and sealing in retort pouch, sterilizing at 120deg.C at 1.5kg/cm¬2 for 2hr and cooling to 38deg.C or less. The Flos Carthami powder is obtained by adding alcohol to defatted Flos Carthami meal, concentrating at 40deg.C or less under reduced pressure to remove ethanol and freeze drying.
