PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling a thermal stress generator in a fatigue test machine are provided to give a heating cover having a low cost by controlling a cooling speed and a heating speed. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a thermal stress generator in fatigue test machine includes a high frequency generating unit(110), a thermal conduction band(120), an actuator(130), and a program control part(150). The high frequency generating unit(110) receives a temperature of a heated sample as an electrical signal and controls the output of the electrical signal. The thermal conduction band(120) measures and controls a temperature of the sample. The actuator(130) controls a valve by using the electrical signal. The program control part(150) controls a cooling speed and a heating speed.
