The device has a management module that determines usage data of resources of a communication network. The module determines the usage data using selected local parameters of network equipment (RP) and traffic received by the equipment. The module transmits the determined usage data and identifier associated to accounting and billing module for billing a client designated by the identifier. An independent claim is also included for network equipment for communication network.
