In a fluid-pressure servomotor system an error signal P sensed by an orifice plate 19 is fed to a device 13 where it is compared with a signal REF derived from a controller 14 to produce a digital output which is totalized and converted into an analogue signal which in turn is fed to a diaphragm valve 11, 12 in the output line 10 feeding the process being controlled, e.g. controlling the thickness of sheet steel or other material in a rolling or extrusion process. Device 13 has a comparator 20 which produces "Up" or "Down" signals according to whether P exceeds REF and feeds them to binary counter stages B o -B 4 which are also fed with clock pulses generated in an oscillator 23. The outputs of stages B 0 -B 4 are fed to a summating device 24 through resistors R 0 -R 4 of values inversely proportional to the binary values of the associated stages. Device 24 generates an analogue signal proportional to the summated digital signal and feeds it to valve 11, 12. If it is desired the comparator 20 and oscillator 23 can be replaced by an electronic digital device 15 which feeds the required signals to device 13 through a fluid transducer 16. Fig. 5 (not shown) illustrates a modified arrangement feeding a push-pull signal to device 24.</p>
