<p>The toggle switch includes a rocker (14) with an arm (18) which transmits a force to an operating rod (24) which moves linearly in a receptacle (26) in a guide plate (28). The operating rod acts on a switch unit (30,32) to close an electrical contact. The guide plate and the operating rod have respective break edges along which they were integrally connected together prior to assembly of the toggle switch. An independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing a toggle switch.</p> |
