A machine tool has a column (1) that supports a spindle head (2) in such a manner as to be movable in an axial direction of the spindle (13). A table (5) on which a workpiece (6) is mounted is moved in directions orthogonal to the axial direction of the spindle (13). A cutting liquid feed device (7) is fixed to the column (1) through a support member (8). The cutting liquid feed device (7) includes a cutting liquid nozzle (9a) and a shower nozzle (10a). The cutting liquid nozzle (9a) is adapted to discharge cutting liquid toward a tool (4) mounted to the spindle (13). The shower nozzle (10a) is adapted to discharge cutting liquid in a shape of a film (shower curtain) so as to surround a cutting area. <IMAGE> |
