<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission capable of effectively lubricating and cooling a contact part by reliably feeding oil to a contact part regardless of a change of the contact position of a power roller without the occurrence of the increase of the size of a pump, worsening of fuel consumption, and limitation of maximum input torque. SOLUTION: In the toroidal continuously variable transmission to control a change gear ratio determined by a power roller 5 and contact radiuses r1 and r2 of input output discs 2 and 4, piping 30 in a vertical direction is situated in the front position of a power roller inner ring 15. An oil passage opening part 30a of the tip of the piping 30 is situated above contact parts P1 and P2 between the power roller inner ring 15 and input output discs 2 and 4 and in a rolling surface range situated in the rear of a power roller front end face and the direction of an oil passage opening part 30a is set in a manner to point toward a position below a horizontal.</p> |
