Method of synthesizing ?-amino-?-hydroxy carboxylic acid and its derivatives

PURPOSE: A method for preparingβ-amino-α-hydroxycarbonic acid and its derivatives is provided, to obtain two kinds ofβ-amino-α-hydroxycarbonic acids with a high stereoselectivity from one starting material. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of oxidizing the compound represented by the formula 2 to obtain theβ-amino-α-hydroxycarbonic acid represented by the formula 1 and its derivatives, wherein n is 0 or 1; R1 is H, an alkyl group of C1-C8, a phenyl group or a benzyl group; R2 is H or a protecting group of a hydroxy group; R3 is H or a protecting group of an amine group; R4 is an alkyl group C1-C20, a cycloalkyl group of C3-C20, a phenyl group or a benzyl group; R5 is H, an alkyl group of C1-C10 or a phenyl group; X is CH3COO-, HCOO-, HO2CCH(OH)CH(OH)COO-, CH3SO3-, CF3CH3COO-, CH3C6H5SO3, Cl, HSO4 or H2PO4; and * represents a chiral carbon.
