摘要

PURPOSE: A superoxide radical generating inhibitor isolated from Acanthopanas sessiliforum Seemenn and a purification method thereof are provided, which superoxide radical generating inhibitor is useful for development of functional food for prevention or inhibition of adult disease caused by oxidative damage of cells, comprising natural antioxidant. CONSTITUTION: The method for purifying the superoxide radical generating inhibitor isolated from Acanthopanas sessiliforum Seemenn comprises the steps of: fractionating the ethanol extract of Acanthopanas sessiliforum Seemenn with hexane, chloroform, ethylacetate and ethanol; subjecting the ethanol fraction to silica gel 60G column by using an eluting solvent consisting of hexane and ethylacetate; developing the active fraction on the silica gel plate by using a developing agent consisting of hexane and ethylacetate; and subjecting the active fraction to HPLC with C18 symmetry column by using MeOH gradient from 60% to 100%, wherein the superoxide radical generating inhibitor inhibits the superoxide radical generation in a cell line HL-60.
