METHOD FOR DETECTING CONTROL DATA OF AN OPTICAL DISK DEVICE, PARTICULARLY CONCERNED WITH DETECTING THE CONTROL DATA FROM A RECORDING AREA WHILE GRADUALLY JUMPING AN OPTICAL PICKUP

PURPOSE: A method for detecting control data of an optical disk device is provided to move an optical pickup within a control data recording area until control data is detected in consideration of an abnormal optical disk, thereby normally reproducing the data. CONSTITUTION: When an optical disk is inserted(S10), a microcomputer moves an optical pickup to a control data recording area(S11). If control data is normally detected from the moved position(S20), the microcomputer carries out a requested reproduction process(S30,S31). If the control data is not normally detected, the microcomputer moves the optical pickup to a data area in predetermined block within the control data recording area(S32).
