PURPOSE: A method for selecting a heating structure of necks of PET bottles and the heating structure thereof are provided to decide systematically the optimal heating structure by changing a vertically separated distance and adopting a value for minimizing the loss of infrared rays. CONSTITUTION: A method for selecting a heating structure of necks of PET bottles keeps constantly values of a vertically separated distance(B) formed from a half-finished product input unit(21) to a half-finished product neck portion(12), a horizontally separated distance(C) formed from the center of a holder(20) to a reflective surface guide unit(31a), a horizontal length(D) of the reflective surface guide unit, and a horizontally separated distance(E) formed from a center(P0) of a reflective surface semi-circle unit(31b) to the centers of first and second electric heaters(32,33). The decision method holds equally a vertically separated distance(F1) from an upper reflective surface guide to the center of the first electric heater and a vertically separated distance(F2) from the center of the second electric heater to a lower reflective surface guide. The first and second electric heaters are vertically contacted to each other. And then, a vertically separated distance(H) formed from the half-finished product input unit to the center of the second electric heater is changed. Accordingly, the decision method checks the total loss of the infrared rays in a correspondent position and adopts the vertically separated distance in which the total loss of the infrared rays is minimized.
