CONTINUOUS STRIP HOT ROLLING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING BONDING PART BY EXISTING DETECTION MEANS AND DETECTING BONDING POINT AT HIGH ACCURACY WITHOUT SPECIAL SENSOR

PURPOSE: To provide a continuous strip hot rolling apparatus capable of detecting a bonding point of a preceding metal sheet and a succeeding metal sheet during traveling of the metal sheet, and a continuous strip hot rolling method capable of detecting a bonding part for performing bonding of the preceding metal sheet and the succeeding metal sheet during traveling of the metal sheet. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for hot rolling a continuous strip is characterized in that a bonding unit(3) for bonding a tail end of a preceding metal sheet(9) and a top end of a following metal sheet(6) during traveling of the metal sheet(11) is disposed at the upper stream side of a finishing mill(4), the bonding unit performs a bonding operation in such a way that thickness of a bonding part is thinner than thickness of the metal sheets that are bonded with each other, and a bonding part detection means for detecting the bonding part of the preceding metal sheet and the following metal sheet by dynamic load change of the metal sheet or thickness directional displacement of the metal sheet is installed at the downstream side of the bonding unit.
