PURPOSE: A multistage piston system of an engine for a vehicle is provided to enable high power through reduction of a friction loss, to shorten a skirt part, and to reduce consumption of oil. CONSTITUTION: A multistage piston system of an engine for a vehicle comprises a main piston(60) connected to a connecting rod by a piston pin(57), and plural multi-pistons(61,62,63) overlapped on the periphery of the main piston in multi-structure. Slots, in which the piston pin is inserted, are formed in the multi-pistons. The multi-pistons move together to the same height when the main piston moves upward. A guide groove is formed to a cylinder block(53) to guide the vertical movement of the piston pin.
