PURPOSE: A folding structure of an airbag cushion is provided to operate the cushion optimally, and to improve the reliability of the cushion by restricting the cushion from being broken against surrounding obstacles in deploying the cushion. CONSTITUTION: A guide folding part(3) is extended from an inlet of a cushion(1) to an obstacle causing the cushion to be damaged and folded and protruded for the deployment direction of the cushion. The guide folding part is formed around a passenger, and the remaining portion of the cushion is folded and surrounded by a cushion wrap(5) rolled and contacted to the side of the guide folding part. The guide folding part is expanded first by supplying gas from the inflator to the cushion in operating the airbag. The cushion is unfolded and deployed, and the deployment direction is guided by the guide folding part to prevent the cushion from being contacted to the sharp portion of the instrument panel.
