PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal and a wireless communication system are provided to enable a conversion between a communication mode using a wireless LAN and a communication mode using a CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network, and to automatically convert between the communication modes based on recent hot spot information. CONSTITUTION: A WLAN BS(2) supplies a wireless LAN access within a hot spot(1). A CDMA2000 1xEV-DO BS(3) supplies a CDMA2000 1xEV-DO access. A mobile phone(4) communicates with the wireless LAN within the hot spot(1) and a CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network. A server(5) communicates with the WLAN BS(2) and the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO BS(3) over the Internet. The server(5) includes a memory(6) for storing position data of the hot spot(1). A GPS(7) detects a position of the mobile phone(4).
