PURPOSE: A solid state image pick-up device is provided to reduce attenuation, scattering and reflection of incident light and decrease color mixture from an adjacent color filter by directly attaching the color filter to an intralayer lens. CONSTITUTION: A solid state image pick-up device includes an intralayer lens(3) and a color filter in each of a plurality of light receiving devices formed on a semiconductor substrate. The color filter is directly attached to the intralayer lens. The solid state image pick-up device is located in a position lower than the height of the intralayer lens, including a surface part lower than a corresponding position in a convex-type surface of the intralayer lens and an interlens planarization layer for planarizing a gap between the interlayer lenses.
