PURPOSE: A hinge device for a toilet is provided to significantly reduce a number of manufacturing process, and thus to reduce installation cost and component cost. CONSTITUTION: The hinge device for a toilet includes a first shaft(110) which engages with a hinge portion of one of a toilet seat and a toilet cover and is mounted at one side thereof with a first rotating piston(130), a second shaft(210) which engages with other one of the toilet seat and the toilet cover and is mounted at one side thereof with a second rotating piston(230), and a housing(300) in which the first and second rotating pistons are contained and has an inner space(311) filled with fluid for reducing rotation of the rotating pistons. A portion of the second shaft is fitted into an outer portion of the first shaft to allow the second shaft to rotate independent of the first shaft. The housing includes a fixing portion(330) fixed to a toilet body.
