PURPOSE: A colored composition for a color filter and a display using the color filter formed of the colored composition are provided to improve contrast, color purity, transmittance of blue color and productivity for the color filter, and realize high contrast, high color purity and high transmittance of blue color in the display by using polyamicacid of which light transmittance decreases by 2% or less in the visible region as a base polymer, in the colored composition for color filter comprising the base polymer, coloring agent and solvent. CONSTITUTION: The first substrate(SUB1) has a plurality of scanning lines(GL), a plurality of signal lines(DL), and a plurality of color pixels formed at the intersections of the scanning lines and the signal lines. The second substrate(SUB2) has color filters(FIL) of two or more colors located to face the pixels, respectively. A liquid crystal layer(LC) is enclosed in a gap formed by sticking the first substrate and the second substrate to each other. Each of the color filters is formed of a colored composition for color filter comprising a base polymer containing polyamicacid of which light transmittance decreases by 2% or less in the visible region(wavelength: 400 nm to 800 nm), coloring agent and solvent. |
