PROGRAM PROCESSING DEVICE FIT TO VERIFY OPERATION OF FIRMWARE

PURPOSE: A program processing device fit to verify operation of firmware is provided to enhance efficiency for debugging software. CONSTITUTION: The device is equipped with a CPU core(21) for executing a program, an internal bus(27) integrated on the same semiconductor substrate as the CPU core and used when the CPU core accesses an internal RAM(25), and a variable break circuit(22). The variable break circuit monitors more than one state of preset variables in the program by monitoring the internal bus and includes the first variable break mode for temporarily stopping the operation of the CPU core in case that a value of the variable is rewritten by the CPU code.
