PURPOSE: A method for displaying data in a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to easily and quickly search desired data by using up/down and left/right keys in graphic. CONSTITUTION: A data group included in an abbreviated number is displayed in a box type(10). The box(10) includes a plurality of blocks, and each block indicates one kind of data. A position of each block indicates a data storage position and the number of blocks indicate the number of data that can be stored. Each block is indicated in a different color. A block(2) which stores data and a block(3) which does not store data are discriminated in different colors. Looking at the box(10) made up of blocks, a user can immediately recognize how much and where data has been currently stored. In addition, the user can freely select a block in the box(10) by using up/down and left/right keys of a mobile terminal.
