TRANSFORMER SUITABLE FOR BEING FITTED INTO LAMP BASE, LAMP BASE HAVING THE SAME, AND HIGH PRESSURE DISCHARGE LAMP

PURPOSE: A transformer, a lamp base having the same, and a high pressure discharge lamp are provided to allow the transformer to be easily fitted into the lamp base and connected to the lamp base by using components of an automated production system. CONSTITUTION: A transformer(1000) to be fitted into a lamp base, comprises a housing(1010) surrounding at least one winding of the transformer. The housing includes a guide unit for installing the transformer in the correct position in the lamp base. The guide unit includes guide webs(1011,1012) formed integrally on the outer surface of the housing.
