摘要 PURPOSE: Metal oxide nanoparticles, preparation methods thereof, and use thereof are provided, which metal oxide nanoparticles have improved properties in refraction rate, optical transmittance and turbidity, so that they can be useful as high refraction rate additives used in preparation of optical products. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing the metal oxide nonoparticles comprises the steps of: hydrolyzing metal alkoxide with an acidic alcohol solution containing alkyl alcohol, water and acid to form first sol containing metal oxide nanoparticles; treating the first sol with organic silane to form second sol containing treated metal oxide nanoparticles; and treating the second sol with organic base to form third sol containing treated metal oxide nanoparticles, wherein the metal is titan, serium, zirconium or tin; the alkoxide is linear or branched C1-C12 alkoxide; and the organic base is linear or branched chain C1-C12 alkylamine.
