PURPOSE: A method for inputting phone numbers for broadcast transmission in an idle screen of a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to successively input identifiers discriminating numbers for broadcast transmission with a hot key. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs the first phone number or the first abbreviated number for broadcast transmission in an idle screen of a mobile terminal(401,402). It is determined whether the user inputs an identifier hot key(403). If the user inputs the hot key, the user inputs the second phone number of the second abbreviated number(405). It is determined whether the Nth phone number or the Nth abbreviated number is inputted for broadcast transmission(406). When the Nth phone number or Nth abbreviated number has been completely inputted for, a list of inputted phone numbers is displayed on an LCD(407). It is determined whether the user inputs a message creation hot key(408). When the message creation hot key is inputted, a message input window is displayed on the LCD(409). After a message is created, broadcast transmission is performed to the corresponding phone numbers.
