SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY OF AN ACTUATOR FOR A DISK DRIVE, SPECIFICALLY RELATED TO SUPPORTING A SLIDER MOUNTED WITH A READ/WRITE HEAD

PURPOSE: A suspension assembly of an actuator for a disk drive is provided to limit a vertical movement of a flexure to less than a certain degree by an extender formed in a free section of the flexure and a limiter formed on a load beam, thereby preventing the flexure from being transformed. CONSTITUTION: A load beam(141) is coupled with a section of a swing arm(132) of an actuator. A flexure(143) supports a slider(144), and consists of a fixing section(143a) fixed to a disk opposing side of the load beam(141) and a free section(143b) located in front of the load beam(141). An extender(148) is extended from the free section(143b) of the flexure(143). A limiter(147) is bent toward the extender(148) from the load beam(141), and limits a vertical movement range of the extender(148).
