METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING DEVICES CONNECTED TO HETEROGENEOUS NETWORK BY ENABLING CLIENT TO DIRECTLY COMMUNICATE WITH TARGET DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling devices connected to a heterogeneous network are provided to reduce load on a gateway by enabling a client to directly communicate with a target device using a native protocol used by a common bus. CONSTITUTION: A gateway apparatus operates between at least one first bus(18) using a first protocol and at least one second bus(23) using a second protocol. A central controller controls plural target devices(8,9,10,11) connected to the bus. The central controller uses a specific control standard to control the target devices on respective buses. The central controller is accessed to a client device via a server according to a standard communication protocol. A conditional transmitter transmits a portion of the central controller to an arbitrary client device. The transmitted central controller is operated based on the corresponding device.
