PURPOSE: A tether for an airbag module is provided to protect the passenger by properly expanding the cushion of the airbag module with an inflator inclined to the inlet of the cushion for ejecting expansion gas. CONSTITUTION: A gas ejection port(3) of an inflator(1) is placed and inclined to an inlet of a cushion(5), and a main tether(7) is installed to hold the deployment shape of the cushion. Both ends of a direction change tether(9) are fixed to the inlet of the cushion, and the center of the direction change tether is bent and inserted to the cushion. Expansion gas from the gas ejection port of the inflator is directly supplied between both ends of the direction change tether. The direction of expansion gas from the gas ejection port of the inflator is modified around the inlet of the cushion by the direction change tether.
