WATER CURTAIN INTERCEPTING/FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM OF A TUNNEL CAPABLE OF FORMING WATER CURTAINS ON BOTH SIDES OF AN IGNITION POINT USING WATER

摘要

PURPOSE: A water curtain intercepting/fire extinguishing system of a tunnel is provided to reduce the loss of lives by securing a safety zone in a tunnel by preventing the spread of smoke, heat and harmful gas into a tunnel and to extinguish a fire rapidly. CONSTITUTION: The water curtain intercepting/fire extinguishing system of a tunnel contains: a main pipeline(20) installed to the ceiling of a tunnel to supply fire extinguishing materials; many primary fire extinguishing units(50) installed on branch pipelines(40) at regular intervals, and forming a water curtain which cuts off both neighboring spots of an ignition point of a fire along a tunnel to prevent the spread of heat and smoke caused by a fire into the tunnel; and many secondary fire extinguishing units(60) installed between the primary fire extinguishing units(50) and spraying fire extinguishing materials directly to the ignition point of a fire for fire-extinguishing.
