PURPOSE: A display device and its driving method are provided to compensate color shifting in a front and side image viewing when an LCD panel is shown from a front or a side. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for driving a display device(400), a plurality of data lines of the display device are driven. Original luminance values corresponding to a plurality of pixels of the display device are measured. Gray scales of the plurality of pixels of the display device are controlled. The original luminance values of the pixels are controlled according to the controlled gray scales. When the display device is shown from a front view point, the controlled luminance values and the original luminance values of the pixels are equal.
