PURPOSE: An apparatus for reproducing multimedia by buffering outputs in a mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to provide multimedia data by using a small amount of resource and support a QoS. CONSTITUTION: A K3G(Korea 3 Generation) type video parser(602) and a K3G type parser(607) parse multimedia data(601) by dividing it into video data and other data than the video data. A video data processing unit, which includes a video controller(603), an MPEG4(Moving Picture Experts Group 4) video decoder(604) and a source data buffer(606), decodes the parsed video data, which has been received from the K3G type video parser(602), by units of frame and buffers a pre-set number of video frames. A media delay output controller(608) delays the other parsed data, which has been received from the K3G type parser(607), according to the buffering information of the video data processing unit to outputs the delayed data, and generates a synchronization signal. An audio data processor, which includes an MPEG4 AAC(Advanced Audio Coding) decoder(610), an EVRC(Enhanced Variable Rate Coding) decoder(611) and an MIDI decoder(612), decodes audio data and outputs it. A video data output unit(609) calls the video data buffered in the video data processing unit by frames by using control data outputted from the media delay output controller(608) and outputs it. A video synchronizer(613) and an audio synchronizer(614) synchronize the video data outputted from the video data output unit(609) and the audio data outputted from an audio data output unit according to the synchronization signal, and output them, respectively.
