DVD/CD COMPATIBLE OPTICAL PICKUP APPARATUS, CAPABLE OF ELIMINATING SEPARATION OF POSITION OF OPTICAL BEAM SPOT BY SUBDIVIDING SPOT PATTERN INTO 12 AREAS AND FORMING SUBDIVISION PRISM BESIDE SENSOR LENS IN ONE BODY

PURPOSE: A DVD/CD compatible optical pickup apparatus is provided to enhance a definiteness in recording/regenerating though a wavelength of an optical beam is varied, to increase a light receiving efficiency, and to reduce a manufacturing cost by using a tilt actuator for compensating for comatic aberration of an objective lens. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a light transmitter(100), a light receiver(200), an optical path converter(300), an objective lens(400), and a tilt actuator(500). The light transmitter(100) generates optical beams of different wavelengths, subdivides the optical beams into three beams for a focusing/tracking control, and emits the subdivided beams externally. The light receiver(200) detects a focus position on an optical beam reflecting from an optical disc via a subdivided PDIC(Photo Diode Integrated Circuit), and converts a receiving signal into an electric signal. The optical path converter(300) guides the optical beam, emitted by the light transmitter(100), to the optical disc, and guides the optical beam, reflecting from the optical disc, to the light receiver(200). The objective lens(400) focuses the optical beam, inputted by the optical path converter(300), on a track of the optical disc. The tilt actuator(500) performs a focusing/tracking control for the objective lens(400), and compensates for comatic aberration of the objective lens(400) caused by an optical axis separation of the light transmitter(100).
