The implement, comprising a tubular shaft (B) with wheels (13) on a lower end cross-member and a weed burner, has a heat screen (A) positioned to one side of the burner to prevent damage to flowers and crops. The screen consists of a steel plate (1) with a panel (2) of compact ceramic fibres, and it has a flame breaker in the form of rows of chain links suspended from its lower edge. The screen can be adjusted on a horizontal bar (8) connected by a bracket (9) to the lower end of the shaft. |
