PURPOSE: A system and a method for billing a medical treatment expense based on identification through fingerprint recognition are provided to simplify a procedure to claim the medical treatment expense to a national health care insurance cooperation, blocking fraud/duplicated/illegal claims, and check health care insurance subscription in real-time by making a user confirm medical treatment details and identification. CONSTITUTION: A medical treatment terminal(20) claims the medical treatment expense by receiving fingerprint information and card information from a fingerprint recognizer(10) and a card reader(30), and the medical treatment details and settlement information of the user. A medical treatment management server(50) manages a health care insurance subscription status of the user and member hospitals, and pays the medical treatment expense according to the medical treatment details inputted from the terminal. A fingerprint recognition server(40) includes a certification database(45) storing the personal/fingerprint information, confirms the subscription status to the management server, relays settlement by transferring the settlement information inputted from the terminal to a card settlement server(60), and transmits the medical treatment details to the management server. |
