PURPOSE: Minute-sized functional herb medicine powder and a preparation method thereof are provided, which functional herb medicine powder has a micron size, complete spherical shape, high water solubility, high bioavailability, and prolonged storage. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing the minute-sized functional herb medicine powder comprises the steps of: preparing precursor solution of herb medicine powder; sonicating the precursor solution with 1 to 2 MHz in a microwave spraying device to prepare liquid droplets having diameter of 1 to 100 micrometer; and drying the liquid droplets at 100 to 200 deg. C for 2 to 10 seconds, wherein herb medicine is one or more selected from Liriope platyphylla WANG., Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer, Schizandra chinensis BAILL., Astragalus membranaceus Bunge, Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer and Arabia elata cortex.
