The hanger, made from metal, plastic or wood, has a hook (3) at the top for hanging from a rail (10), a single oblique intermediate branch (4) and a straight horizontal branch (5) at the bottom. The horizontal branch can be made with an end stop to prevent clothes sliding off it, and two hangers can be used together to support a garment with shoulders, such as a shirt or jacket. When used in pairs, the hooks can face in the same or opposite directions.
