PURPOSE: A method for editing a file in a player of a mobile communication terminal is provided to edit a contents file which is being dynamically reproduced in a player besides a static edition function, thereby changing a sequence and a time of desired objects. CONSTITUTION: An SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) file is inputted(301), and is reproduced in a player of a reproducer for reproducing multimedia contents(302). If an SMIL file edition is selected(303), a media list view is outputted(304). List numbers are inputted, respectively(305). The inputted list items are decided(306), to generate a new SMIL file if a new item is selected(307), and the generated SMIL file is reproduced(310). If the generated SMIL file is fully reproduced, the SMIL file is stored(311). The SMIL file is stored as other name(312).
