PURPOSE: Measurement instruments capable of speech recognition are provided to allow a user to easily perform measurement in any environment by controlling measurement instruments by his/her voice. CONSTITUTION: Measurement instruments include a speech recognition sensor(110), a speech signal pre-processor(120) for processing a speech signal input from the speech signal sensor and amplifying the processed signal, an analog-digital converter(130) for converting an analog speech signal input from the pre-processor into a digital speech signal, and an FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) processor(140) for extracting only voice words from the digital speech signal. The measurement instruments further include a voice command processor(150) for combining the voice words to generate a command and transmitting the command to the instruments, an interface(160) for interfacing the voice command processor with components of the measurement instruments, and a display for displaying the command.
