PURPOSE: An electric contact material is provided to extend the lifespan of the material by improving resistance against welding, wear, and corrosion. CONSTITUTION: A silver-oxide based electric contact material comprises a dissolved alloy consisting of 4 to 20 weight% Sn, 0.5 to 6 weight% In, and a remainder Ag. The dissolved alloy further consists of one or more of Ni, Co, and Fe of total 0.001 to 1 weight%, if necessary. The dissolved alloy further consists of one or more of Au, Pd, Pt, Rh, Os, Ir, and Ru of total 0.001 to 1 weight%.
