The present invention refers to a pupilchromatography device, which is a non-invasive system useful for quantifying in an objective manner the colour perception within a spectrum ranging from blue (400 nm) to red (700 nm). The system comprises a light stimulator and a video-oculography system, which carries out a video recording of the anatomic structures of the eye, said structures being fixed or in motion, as well as an image processing system, either in software or hardware, so as to obtain information of the pupil's activity which subsequently will be analysed by an expert system. Said information being useful for diagnosing eye pathologies related to diabetes mellitus, thereby obtaining an early detection of the said disease.
